Locked Doors

Stavely School is pleased to announce a new initiative to keep our students safe and learning a top priority. ​Beginning on January 28, 2020 all school doors – including the main front door and Municipal Library door that adjoins to Stavely School – will be locked during school hours, once students have arrived for the day. School visitors including parents and other guests will be welcomed into the office after ringing the front doorbell and being buzzed in by staff. The front door features a 2-way communications intercom and a camera for staff and visitors.
This new procedure allows us to know who is in the building at all times and to minimize classroom disruptions by flowing all visitors through the office. Questions about the locked doors or other measures for student safety may be directed to Principal Leanne Watson at 403-549-3757 or ​watsonl@lrsd.ab.ca​.
