1 School, 1 Book - It's Finally Here!!

It's finally here! The wait is over!! The kids have found out our secret and that's right...we're going to be reading 'Charlie and the Chocolate Factory' by Roald Dahl. We have a lot of literacy and liberal arts activities planned for our students throughout February and look forward to enjoying this wonderful book together with all of you. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do!!

The Family Book Bag is being sent home tonight with the oldest child in the family. Inside the bag is a copy of 'Charlie and the Chocolate Factory' (for you to keep), a bookmark, a special treat for each child, a copy of the reading schedule and special challenge activity and a craft for each child.

Please remember to submit the following to be entered for a prize:

1. Answer weekly questions which are posted on our website. Please submit your answer to Mrs. Cyr.

2. Email cyrt@lrsd.ab.ca a picture of your family reading together.

3. STEM Challenge activity - we are launching our Chocolate River Boats on February 17th. All entries will be entered in for a prize and the winner of the challenge will also receive a DELICIOUS PRIZE!!
